About halfway through the first dozen cupcakes, the contestants start slowing down a bit. Eventually, Scott Drummond wins the contest by eating 15 cupcakes.

Frosting, A Cupcakery, on Friendship Heights' Wisconsin Circle, celebrated its one-year anniversary Friday with a free cupcake for each customer and a 3 p.m. cupcake-eating contest. Winner Scott Drummond ate 15 cupcakes, which earned him a $50 gift certificate.

The bakeshop's 365th customer that day won a dozen free cupcakes per month for the next year.

Owners Todd Bracken and Michelle Snow Bracken opened Frosting last year after they met on Match.com, dated, fell in love, got married and, well, the rest is history...
